GoDaddy Acquires Mobile Site-Building Startup M.Dot

Web hosting and domain giant GoDaddy announced Monday it has acquired M.Dot, a startup whose self-serve app allows users to build their own mobile websites directly from the application. This is GoDaddy’s first acquisition under former Yahoo chief product officer Blake Irving, who left Yahoo to become GoDaddy CEO in December. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
