Steve Jobs movie

Do you remember when there was a lot of hubbub circulating the Internet regarding an upcoming biography movie about the life of former Apple CEO Steve Jobs? Well, actually there were two movies in the news. It was sometimes difficult to figure out which rumor went with which biopic. All has become clear.

There was that one rumor that Ashton Kutcher would play the role of Jobs in an indie film based on the middle years. That one is true. The former “That ’70s Show” star will wow audiences with his uncanny resemblance to the world’s most beloved CEO at next year’s Sundance Film Festival.

He looks just like him, but will he act just like him? Kutcher has some big shoes to fill. Even if he plays it perfectly, it will be difficult for the creator of “Punk’d” to win over a bunch of computer nerds.

Sundance’s Trevor Goth said viewers would be impressed by Kutcher’s performance, which he termed a “formidable” and “remarkable” portrayal that “tries to grasp all the nuances of who Steve Jobs was.”

The independent film, “jOBS,” also stars Josh Gad as Apple Computers co-creator Steve Wozniak and Matthew Modine as Jobs’ frienemy John Scully. Parts of the movie were filmed in the actual house in Los Altos where the first Apple computer was made. The movie also takes place on location in India, where Jobs spend some time on a spiritual journey.

The big budget biopic based on the biography “Steve Jobs” by Walter Isaacson and adapted by Aaron Sorkin is still in the pre-production. There is no information as to when it will be released in theaters.
