Good news, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer owners – ASUS has started pushing out a new update for the Android tablet today. While it’s no Ice Cream Sandwich update (you wish), the update brings a whole bunch of improvements to the device. It bumps the tablet up to version, and introduces some new features such as:

App Backup – users can now back up their non-ASUS apps and app data, and then restore the backed up data on another ASUS tablet. Netflix – the popular video on demand service (for folks in the US only). Improved WiFi connectivity, a fix for the version mobile dock abnormal battery consumption issue. And a whole bunch of app updates: Google Books, Maps, Market, ASUS Sync, Email, MyNet, Browser, MyCloud, Supernote and Polaris office.

Head over to the ASUS Facebook page to find out more about the update. In the meantime keep an eye on your tablet for the notification update. Any of you received the update yet? Let us know how the process went.
