If you’re coming to an iPhone 5 from an Android phone, you may have a myriad of micro USB chargers and cables laying around, which used to be useless because of the new Lightning cable.
There’s good news though, you can once again use all of those chargers thanks to Apple’s newest Lightning adapter, which converts the Lightning port on the iPhone 5, the iPod, and the recently released iPads to a micro USB port.
The adapter allows the Lightning-equipped devices to charge and sync with micro USB cables. Previously, Apple’s 30-pin-to-micro USB adapter was only sold in Europe, but the newest Lightning version will be sold worldwide.
You can currently get the Lightning to micro USB adapter from the online Apple Store for $19.
